If you’re looking for an excuse to visit Astoria, Oregon, then look no further! The Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood and Wine Festival is back this year, and it’s going to be an absolute blast! This event, sponsored by Fred Meyer, is being held at the Clatsop County Fair & Expo Center from April 28th to 30th.

Now, if you’re not familiar with Astoria, it’s where they filmed the iconic movie, The Goonies. So, not only will you get to indulge in some of the most delicious seafood and wine that Oregon has to offer, but you’ll also get to see some of the places where Chunk, Mikey, Data, and the gang had their amazing adventures.

2023 Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood and Wine Festival

The Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce has done an amazing job coordinating this event since 1982. And let me tell you, they’ve got some seriously talented vendors! You’ll find around 150 booths featuring hand-crafted arts, coastal cuisine, Oregon wine, and local brews. And the best part? You get to enjoy all of this while supporting not only the AWACC, but dozens of community organizations and hundreds of small businesses.

You’ll find everything from handcrafted art to scrumptious coastal cuisine, Oregon wine, and local brews. And it’s not just a good time – it’s also a major fundraiser for the AWACC, plus loads of other community organizations and small businesses in the area. So come on down and get your crab on – you’ll be supporting a good cause and having a blast at the same time!

Do you love Oregon?

Sign up for monthly emails full of local travel inspiration and fun trip ideas. In each newsletter we'll share upcoming events, new things to do, hot dining spots and great travel ideas.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Oh boy, where do I even start? The menus in recent years have included crab and shrimp melts and cocktails, crab cakes, fried oysters, lemon garlic pasta with crab, crab mac & cheese, seafood ramen, crabby leek chowder, smoked brisket, sausages, corn dogs, Greek cuisine, and more. I don’t know about you, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

And don’t worry, there’s plenty to drink as well. You can tour Oregon’s renowned wine country with 40 wineries offering a multitude of varietals made in Oregon, primarily using northwest-grown grapes. If beer is more your thing, local craft breweries will be serving up their favorite foamy brews. And for those that prefer their spirits distilled, they’ve got you covered too. Just make sure to stop by the Hydration Station, sponsored by NW Natural, for water in between sips of wine.

But wait, there’s more! Live music will be playing on two stages throughout the weekend, featuring performers from a variety of genres to keep your toes tapping. And if you’re in the mood to do some shopping, you can stroll through the aisles of more than 100 booths featuring local artists, northwest-made products, and more.

Parking at the event

Now, I do have to warn you that parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED, so plan ahead. Take advantage of the festival shuttle with convenient pick-ups near area lodging on Friday and Saturday, or use the park & ride lot at the Port of Astoria all weekend. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this amazing event!

Ticket information

Looking to attend the Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood and Wine Festival and wondering about ticket prices? Fear not, my fellow foodie! I have all the juicy details right here for you.

First of all, let me just say that the ticket prices are totally worth it for this incredible event. You can choose from a one-day ticket for $12, a two-day ticket for $20, or a three-day pass for just $25! That’s right, you can indulge in amazing seafood, wine, and live music for three whole days without breaking the bank.

But wait, it gets even better. Kids 12 and under get in for FREE! So, if you’re looking for a fun family outing, this is the perfect opportunity. And if you’re a designated driver, you can snag a ticket for just $5, which includes a free non-alcoholic beverage.

Your General Admissions ticket may get you into the Festival, but it doesn’t cover parking! And trust us, parking at the Clatsop County Fair & Expo Center is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. If you do manage to snag a spot, you’ll have to cough up $20 per vehicle. Ouch! Luckily, we’ve got you covered. Hop on one of the $3 shuttles available at multiple spots throughout Astoria and Warrenton. Not only will you save some serious cash, but you’ll also avoid the headache of trying to find a parking spot. Win-win!

Tickets are available online through Afton Tickets, so make sure to get yours before they sell out. And if you see me there, don’t be shy! Come say hi and let’s indulge in some amazing seafood and wine together. See you at the festival!
