Trail conditions, road closures, permits, and business hours change. Confirm details with the land manager, agency, or business before you go. Outdoor travel has risk. You are responsible for your own decisions in the field.
Satire and parody are labeled. Those pieces are not news reports.
Accounts
If we give you a login, keep the password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Shop
Merchandise sold through this site or shop.thatoregonlife.com is subject to the listing, price, and Shipping & Returns terms in effect when you order. We may cancel an order that looks fraudulent or that we cannot fulfill. Payment is processed by PayPal or Stripe. You are responsible for providing a shippable address.
Our content
Stories, photos, logos, page designs, and other material on this site are owned by That Oregon Life or used with permission. All rights reserved. You may share a link and short quotation with credit. You may not republish, sell, or scrape our material as your own product without written permission, except where U.S. fair use or another legal exception clearly applies.
The That Oregon Life name and logo are ours. Do not use them to imply we endorse you without permission.
Your content
If you send a comment, photo, review, or testimonial, you give That Oregon Life a non-exclusive right to display it on the site and in related channels, and to edit it for length, grammar, or clarity. You are responsible for what you submit and for having the rights to submit it.
A reader quote is that person’s experience, not a promise of typical results. We may decline or remove user content at our discretion.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, follow the process on our DMCA / Removal page.
No warranties
The site and its content are provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the site is complete, current, or error-free, or that it will always be available. Outdoor, travel, and local information can be wrong or out of date. Links to other sites are not endorsements. To the fullest extent Oregon law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Oregon law allows, That Oregon Life LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of the site or inability to use it, even if we have been told that kind of damage is possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the product or service at issue in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) fifty dollars. Some states do not allow certain limits; in those states our liability is limited to the maximum the law allows.
Oregon law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of state courts in Lane County, Oregon, or the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any court for misuse of our content or brand.
If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us for use of the site. They do not create rights for anyone else.
Changes
We may update these terms when the site or the law changes. Continued use after a posted change means you accept the new terms.
