As mac and cheese is my weakness, I am literally salivating as I write this. A popular mac and cheese chain known as Mac'd opened their doors in Portland earlier this month, and I cannot wait to check this place out. The takeout window originates in San Francisco, and offers customers a build-your-own style menu.

Everything from the cheese sauce — with options such as basic cheddar jack to honey-jalapeno — the noodles, and toppings such as bacon, hot cheetos, hot dogs, and even crab, is available to top off that cheesy deliciousness. And for those of you trying to keep the carbs at a minimum, Mac'd also offers a cauliflower substitute for your noodles.

When you are ready to try for yourself, Mac'd is located at Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard. According to Eater, they took second place at the 2018 Portland Macaroni and Cheese festival.
