If your October calendar currently consists of pumpkin patches, football, and wondering why Oregon suddenly decided it was winter at 7 a.m., we have something considerably louder to add to the schedule.
Yelawolf is coming to Eugene.
The Alabama-born rapper, singer, songwriter, and professional destroyer of genre boundaries will roll into the Cuthbert Amphitheater on Saturday, October 3, 2026, alongside rock heavyweights Highly Suspect for The War Within Tour. Passengers Unknown will open the night, which means this is shaping up to be one of those wonderfully chaotic concerts where nobody quite knows whether they're attending a rap show, a rock show, a Southern outlaw gathering, or some glorious combination of all three.
Yelawolf has spent most of his career refusing to fit neatly into anybody's musical box. Born Michael Wayne Atha in Gadsden, Alabama, he first broke through nationally with his Trunk Muzik material before releasing his major-label album Radioactive. From there, he built a career mixing rapid-fire hip-hop with Southern rock, country, blues, punk attitude, and enough motorcycle-fueled swagger to make your uncle's Harley jacket suddenly feel underdressed.
His long list of collaborations says it all. Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Travis Barker, Jelly Roll, A$AP Rocky, Big Boi, Juicy J, Tech N9ne, Lil Jon, Gucci Mane, Killer Mike, Raekwon, Wynonna Judd, Lee Brice, Shooter Jennings, Diplo, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and members of Korn and Blink-182.
He's also a genuinely distinctive live performer. Yelawolf doesn't exactly have the vibe of an artist who strolls onstage, politely asks Eugene how everybody is doing, plays 11 songs exactly like the album versions, and disappears.
Expect energy.
Yelawolf has spent more than two decades building a fiercely loyal audience around that collision of rap and Southern culture. His catalog includes fan favorites such as “Till It's Gone,” “Best Friend,” “Pop the Trunk,” and “You and Me,” while his broader body of work has repeatedly bounced between hip-hop, rock, country, and alternative music without asking anybody's permission first.
That makes the pairing with Highly Suspect especially interesting.
The Massachusetts-born rock band has built its own reputation for ignoring genre expectations, earning multiple Grammy nominations along the way and delivering a sound that can swing from bluesy rock to alternative, punk, electronic, and downright heavy. Their single “My Name Is Human” reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, while albums such as MCID, The Midnight Demon Club, and As Above, So Below pushed the band even further outside the traditional rock lane.
In other words, whoever assembled this tour understood the assignment.
Then there's the venue.
The Cuthbert Amphitheater remains one of Eugene's best places to see live music, tucked into Alton Baker Park near the Willamette River. It's an outdoor venue surrounded by trees and parkland, which gives concerts there an atmosphere that's hard to duplicate inside a giant arena. Travel Oregon describes the Cuthbert as a place where the arts and outdoors come together, and that's a pretty accurate summary.
The October 3 show is all ages and general admission. The Cuthbert box office opens at 4 p.m., gates open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $58.25 in advance and $63.50 on the day of the show, assuming the concert doesn't sell out first. The venue says those listed prices include service fees.
So grab the hoodie, bring the friend who still has Trunk Muzik saved somewhere on their phone, and prepare for a Saturday night that probably won't sound like anything else happening in Eugene that weekend.
