Located in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, Bella Collina is a luxury bed & breakfast that sits on a 30 acre lot overlooking sprawling vineyards and rolling hillsides. Bella Collina itself means “beautiful hill” in Italian, and it truly is one of the most gorgeous places to stay in Oregon.

The owners, Scott and Melody Gibson, actually live on the property, and the inn and surrounding grounds have become a labor of love that you can feel in every detail. The couple built the Bella Collina from the ground up and included seven unique suites to choose from, each highlighting a specific area of our great state.

You may choose to stay in the Santiam Suite that’s reminiscent of the fall leaves and crystal clear waters of our verdant forests, the Eola suite with its bespoke wine barrel headboard and vineyard theme, or the Kiwanda suite that evokes the ruggedness and serenity of the Oregon coast. Each suite features a private bathroom (some with soaking tubs), a stunning view, spa-like amenities, and heated tile floors.

Every morning the innkeeper, Sherwood, gets up bright and early to start preparing fresh baked scones and pastries before he starts cooking up a gourmet, two-course breakfast using local and organic ingredients from nearby farms. In the morning you can also enjoy Stumptown coffee, fresh “Bella Juice” (a mix of orange, mango, and cranberry juice), and the kitchen can accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have. If you’re still hungry later on in the day, there’s always fresh baked goods, snacks and wine available as well as a nightly social hour that begins at 4:00pm.

While you’re staying at the Bella Collina you may be tempted to lounge the day away in your room or roaming the exquisite grounds, but there’s too much good stuff to discover all around you. From the B&B you’ll be able to visit any of the over 250 wineries that are all within a half hour’s drive of the inn. Or you can take a day trip to the coast and visit Lincoln City or Pacific City, both only an hour away, or head up to Portland for the day which is only an hour and a half’s drive. For an adventure closer to home, consider indulging in artisan chocolate fudge handmade by monks at The Brigittine Monastery just 15 minutes away, or you’re just 20 minutes away from the charming town of McMinnville for shopping, restaurants, and even more wine tasting!
