She's easily shot more photos of old historic schools than anyone I know in Oregon, and her goal is to eventually find them all. Her name is Danielle Denham, and she has a fascination with not just Oregon history itself - but making trips to historic, abandoned buildings. But they are not all abandoned, some of these schools are still being used for various things.
Traveling to every corner of Oregon, and shooting digitally since 2011, she has captured some of the most stunning images you can imagine. And it's not just old buildings she loves to shoot, her beautiful portfolio extends to weddings, portraits, and beautiful landscapes as well. Follow here on Facebook to see more!
If you love old buildings, you couldn't pick a better place to live as Oregon is home to the most ghost towns in the nation.
Today, these school buildings across the state are stunning historical reminders of Oregon's earliest pioneer days. There’s also something a little haunting as well when those buildings are the remnants of former school houses – they each have a story to tell and seem to echo with the ancient, carefree laughter of long-gone schoolchildren.
