GRANTS PASS, Ore. — One of Oregon’s most iconic brands is making a big move—but says it’s not turning its back on the Beaver State.

Dutch Bros, the wildly popular coffee chain that got its start as a humble pushcart in Grants Pass in 1992, announced this week that it’s officially relocating its corporate headquarters to Phoenix, Arizona. The company says the move is part of a broader strategy to streamline operations and fuel its rapid national growth.

“To support the next phase of Dutch Bros’ growth, we’re relocating additional roles to our new Phoenix office and making strategic changes to the structure of several teams,” the company said in a statement. “With these changes, the Phoenix office will become our official HQ.”

While the headquarters shift might feel like a bittersweet goodbye for longtime Oregon fans, Dutch Bros insists it’s not forgetting where it came from. The original roasting facility and some support functions will remain in Grants Pass, and the company says it’s committed to continuing its investment in Southern Oregon through the Dutch Bros Foundation.

“Grants Pass is where our journey began, and it remains a vital part of our story,” the company said in a statement to FOX 12.

Dutch Bros has exploded in popularity over the past decade, transforming from a beloved West Coast favorite into a full-blown national brand with hundreds of locations across the country. But for many Oregonians, it’ll always be that local spot with killer coffee, loud music, and baristas who know your order before you pull up.

As Dutch Bros plants deeper roots in Arizona, many here in Oregon will be watching to see just how much of its Pacific Northwest soul makes the trip south.
