Early Monday morning in southern Oregon, a routine traffic stop on I-5 took a dangerous turn. At around 8 a.m., an Oregon State Police trooper, accompanied by a K-9 unit, pulled over a semi-truck cab for a minor traffic violation in Jackson County. What started as a standard procedure soon led to a startling discovery.

During a consensual search of the vehicle, the trooper uncovered two five-gallon buckets, each brimming with fentanyl-laced pills. The total weight of the pills came to a staggering 60 pounds, which equates to approximately 276,000 individual doses. The pills were bound for delivery in Portland.
