Heavy Snow Forecast For North Cascades, Light Snow For Coast Range

The National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a winter storm warning for the northern Cascades of Oregon for February 25th to 27th, 2024.

According to the storm warning, heavy snow form 1 to 2 feet in the Cascade Range could make travel difficult. The Coast range, Willapa Hills and Upper Hood River are also expecting from 2 to 8 inches of snow above the 1000 foot level.

Along with heavy snow, the affected areas are expecting gusts of wind from 40 to 50 miles per hour.

Vehicles should be winterized, and drivers should slow down and take extra caution while traveling in these hazardous conditions according to NOAA.
