For years, Oregon burger lovers have watched the state's In-N-Out expansion with excitement, and now another highly anticipated location is ready to welcome its first customers.
The California-based burger chain has officially announced that its new Hillsboro restaurant will open its doors Thursday morning, adding another stop for fans who have eagerly followed the company's steady growth across the Pacific Northwest.
Located at 2498 NE Town Center Drive, just south of Evergreen Parkway, the new restaurant sits in one of Hillsboro's busiest commercial areas and is expected to draw visitors from across Washington County and beyond.
Anyone familiar with previous In-N-Out openings knows this is more than just another restaurant debut. Openings often attract long lines, packed parking lots, and devoted fans willing to wait hours for their first Double-Double and Animal Style fries.
Local officials have been preparing for that possibility.

In recent months, Hillsboro city leaders have worked alongside In-N-Out representatives to address concerns about traffic congestion around the new location. Residents living near the development have expressed worries about vehicle backups and potential safety issues, concerns that have accompanied several other In-N-Out openings throughout the West.
The company has become known for drawing enormous crowds whenever a new restaurant opens, with some customers lining up before sunrise and others waiting several hours to place an order during opening week.
Despite those concerns, excitement remains high.
The Hillsboro restaurant will employ approximately 110 associates, providing a significant boost to local employment. According to company officials, starting pay will begin at $18.75 per hour.
The restaurant itself offers plenty of room for guests. Indoor dining space will accommodate 84 customers, while a covered outdoor patio provides seating for an additional 62 guests.
Like other In-N-Out locations, the Hillsboro restaurant will feature a single drive-thru lane. The chain's famously streamlined menu and fast-paced operations have helped build a loyal following throughout the western United States, although drive-thru lines frequently become part of the experience during a restaurant's first weeks of operation.
Customers can visit daily from 10:30 a.m. until 1 a.m. Standard operating hours extend to 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Hillsboro opening marks another milestone in In-N-Out's Oregon expansion.
With this addition, Oregon will now have five In-N-Out locations statewide. The new restaurant also becomes the third serving the greater Portland metropolitan area, joining existing locations nearby and giving many metro-area residents a much shorter drive to satisfy their burger cravings.
The company's growth in the region isn't stopping there.
Another In-N-Out is currently planned for Beaverton along Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway near Highway 217. Construction activity and land-use filings have fueled speculation about when that restaurant might arrive, though company officials have not yet announced an opening date.
For many Oregonians, In-N-Out's arrival represents more than a new fast-food option. The chain has developed a near-cult following thanks to its simple menu, fresh ingredients, and reputation for consistency. Every new location tends to generate significant buzz, often becoming a regional event that attracts customers from multiple counties.
Whether you're a longtime fan who has been counting down the days or someone curious to see what all the excitement is about, Thursday's grand opening is expected to bring plenty of energy to Hillsboro.
If history is any indication, drivers should expect heavier-than-normal traffic around the Town Center Drive area during the first several days of operation. Those planning a visit may want to allow extra time, especially during lunch and dinner hours.
One thing is certain: after months of anticipation, Oregon's newest In-N-Out is finally ready to start serving burgers, fries, and shakes to eager customers in Hillsboro.
