LA GRANDE, OR – Residents of La Grande woke up to unsettling news today as an armed robbery took place in the early hours at a home on the 700 block of F Avenue. According to the La Grande Police Department (LGPD), the incident occurred at approximately 5:27 AM on December 6, 2024.
The suspect, described as wearing dark clothing with a bandana covering their face, entered the residence unannounced, brandishing a handgun, and demanded money from the occupants. The individual made off with roughly $140 in cash before fleeing the scene just before officers arrived.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the robbery. LGPD officers quickly responded, collecting evidence and reviewing home security camera footage in an effort to identify the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing, and police are determined to track down the individual responsible.
"We're doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our community and bring the suspect to justice," said Sgt. Ryan Miller of the LGPD.
