Do you remember your favorite pizza parlor from childhood? The one you used to go to with friends on a Friday night, or after Little League games with your family? Sometimes it feels to me like they just don't make pizza parlors like that anymore. Today when you go out for pizza it seems like they want you to eat and leave as soon as possible. I miss the days when you could have a real family gathering when you went out. Most of those old pizza places have fallen by the wayside and been replaced with fast-food chains where the food isn't great and the vibe when you go inside isn't all that friendly. There is one place you can still go in Beaverton for a family meal and good pizza. It's not just a pizza parlor either, it's a full Italian Restaurant with homemade food, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Giovanni's in Beaverton has been serving up delicious Italian fare since 1975.

You'll find Giovanni's in downtown Beaverton on the corner of Hall and Broadway. This cozy little restaurant has been family operated since 1975, and is well loved by the local community.

When you walk in you'll be greeted by a cozy interior and the smell of fresh baked garlic bread. As soon as you take a bite of the delicious pasta or home made pizza you can really tell that they make their food with love.

If you're looking for fresh, traditional Italian food, then we recommend the beef or cheese ravioli, which comes in a tasty meat or mushroom marinara sauce. The cannelloni is also a must. This one tube shaped pasta is filled to the brim with seasoned Italian sausage and ricotta, and then baked with mozzarella cheese and meat marinara. Yum!

If you stop in for lunch, try the Meatball sandwich, which is served open face with sliced meatballs, mozzarella, and meat sauce. It's hearty and filling, and just the thing you need to get through a long day. The portions here are generous, so prepare to fill up or take home leftovers.

If you're in the mood for really good, home made pizza with thick crust, Giovanni's is your spot. You can get classics like cheese pizza, but we think you'll really like the specialty pizzas they have on offer.

Not sure what to get? Try the Margherita pizza. This classic is made with olive oil, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella and parmesan. Delicious!

For a little kick, try the Pepperoni pizza with fresh jalapenos. Another local favorite is the Giovanni's Special, which comes loaded with salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, and pepperoncini.

Tip: You can get thin crust pizza upon request.

If you're craving pizza but want something a little different (but no less delicious), go for the Chicken Carbonara with alfredo sauce, chicken, bacon, Canadian bacon, and parmesan cheese.

It doesn't matter what you order at Giovanni's, because you know you'll be getting a hot, delicious, home made meal. This is one spot you'll want to keep coming back to so that you can try everything on the menu!
