I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up in Oregon, a state teeming with remarkable natural sites to explore. Regardless of where you reside in Oregon, you're typically just 30 minutes away from a great outdoor adventure. Despite spending many years here, it was only three years ago that I had the opportunity to visit Crater Lake, one of the most awe-inspiring places on the planet, renowned for having the deepest waters in the United States.

Crater Lake National Park, Oregon's sole national park, is a sight that will leave you in awe if you ever get the chance to visit. It's difficult to capture in words the profound impact this mesmerizing location can have on you. Experiencing Crater Lake feels almost surreal, nestled in the crater of a dormant volcano, its waters a deep, enigmatic blue. The park is not only a stunning natural wonder but also a place shrouded in mystery, with a rich and captivating history. Additionally, the resort is dog-friendly, allowing up to three pets per site for a small fee, making it an excellent choice for pet owners.

The campground also offers glamping tents, cozy abodes, and traditional log-style cabins for rent. The cabins are well-maintained and beautifully appointed with motel-like interiors that include kitchens. Creekside cabins at Crater Lake Resort feature stunning views and come equipped with private decks and gas BBQs for a truly enjoyable stay. Additionally, the resort offers tent sites and full RV hookups. These RV sites are positioned along Fort Creek and are designed for back-in entry, accommodating vehicles up to 40 feet in length. Each RV site includes a picnic table, and fire pits are conveniently located throughout the property. These sites allow for a maximum of six guests, ensuring a comfortable and spacious outdoor experience.

If you're not in the mood to cook, you might be in luck! The Heavenly Thai Food Truck occasionally makes an appearance at the resort, offering delicious meals without the hassle of cooking. Plus, there's a chance you could also enjoy some live music during your visit!

The campground in Central Oregon is surrounded by old-growth trees, leaving no shortage of fantastic hiking trails throughout the area.
