If you’ve been waiting for another reason to make a quick trip across the river, this might be it.

Southwest Washington is about to welcome a familiar favorite, and for plenty of Oregonians, it is going to feel like it’s right in the neighborhood. In-N-Out Burger is opening a brand-new location in Vancouver, with doors officially set to open at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 23.

The new restaurant sits at 13511 Southeast 3rd Way, placing it just a short drive from Portland. For many locals, this will now be the most convenient spot to grab one of the chain’s famously simple burgers, fresh-cut fries, and those not-so-secret menu items that fans love to talk about.

This marks the second In-N-Out location in Washington, and if history tells us anything, opening day is going to draw a crowd. When the Ridgefield location debuted last August, eager customers lined up well before opening, with some even arriving the night before to be among the first in line. It would not be surprising to see a similar level of excitement in Vancouver.

The setup at this new location is designed to handle plenty of traffic. There will be a single drive-thru lane for those on the go, along with indoor seating for 84 guests. Outside, a covered patio offers space for 28 more people, making it a solid option whether you are grabbing a quick meal or settling in to enjoy it.

For Portland-area residents, this opening adds another nearby option as the brand continues its steady expansion into the Pacific Northwest. A highly anticipated Hillsboro location is also nearing completion, which will soon give Oregonians their own side-of-the-river convenience.

There is something about In-N-Out that goes beyond just the food. It is the consistency, the nostalgia, and the experience that keeps people coming back. The menu is famously straightforward, but the quality and freshness have built a loyal following that shows up in full force whenever a new location opens.

So if you find yourself craving a Double-Double or just curious to see what the buzz is about, Thursday might be the perfect time to check it out. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait. If past openings are any indication, you will not be the only one with that idea.

For many in the Portland metro area, the drive just got a little shorter, and the excitement is already building.
