Big news for ski enthusiasts!

Mt. Bachelor has announced an early opening for the ski season, starting this Friday, November 15—two weeks ahead of the original schedule. This marks the mountain’s earliest season launch since 1998.

Thanks to more than 40 inches of fresh snowfall, with additional snow in the forecast, the resort is ready for action. For this weekend, access to the Skyliner and Little Pine lifts will be exclusive to Mt. Bachelor Passholders. Nordic Passholders will also have special access to cross-country trails.

Early season conditions will be in place, and passholders are encouraged to exercise caution, sticking to marked and open trails for a safe experience.

After this weekend’s opening, the resort will close during the following week, reopening for another weekend from November 22-24, offering $50 lift tickets. Daily operations will fully kick off on November 29.

The Uphill Travel Policy, which mandates a free Uphill Pass for skiers and riders, goes into effect on November 15.

"We couldn’t be more excited to kick off the season with our passholders on Friday," shared John Merriman, President & General Manager. "Opening early is a fantastic way to start, and we’re grateful to our team for making this possible. We’re set for an incredible season."

To allow for final preseason preparations, the mountain will be closed to the public, including uphill travel, on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, November 12 – Thursday, November 14
  • Monday, November 18 – Thursday, November 21
  • Monday, November 25 – Thursday, November 28

Starting Friday, November 29, the resort will be open daily for the season, with the Uphill Travel Policy in full effect.
