Oregon State Parks Impose New Fees For Out Of State Campers

Starting on August 10th, 2020 there will be increased fees for non-Oregon residents to camp at an Oregon State Park. The fee is temporary and is supposed to help recuperate lost funding from park closures earlier in the year due to Covid-19, and lost lottery funding.

Currently the new fees are supposed to go through the end of 2020, but not beyond. The average cost for a full-service RV site at an Oregon State Park is currently $33 per night, but will increase to an average of $42 per night for non-Oregon residents.

The average cost for a tent site at an Oregon State Park is currently $19 per night, and will go up to $23 per night for non-Oregon residents.

The Oregon State Park system hopes to raise around $500,000 through the end of the year to help hire staff and pay for cleaning supplies and other state park operations.
