If you love vintage films, and you love beautiful Oregon, look no further. Titled Vacation Adventures in Oregon State Parks, this rare 1957 film is both beautiful and hilarious. At a time when drive-in movies, poodle skirts, bobby socks, and jukeboxes were everywhere, beautiful Oregon with its enchanting waterfalls and beautiful state parks was quickly becoming one of the best places to vacation.
So many of Oregon’s most popular spots are covered in this film – everywhere from the beautiful Painted Hills, the Oregon Coast and Silver Falls State Park, to the Columbia River Gorge. For me, it was especially interesting to go back in time and see some of these places and how they looked back in the day. While the cars and the style of clothes may be a little bit different today, the landscapes haven’t changed much. All of these beloved places are still well traveled by visitors and locals alike.
