Open Auditions The Christmas Show . Red Octopus Theatre Company announces OPEN AUDITIONS for our annual production of “The Christmas Show” on Monday, September 14. Directed by Darcy Lawrence and Richie Scott, this production will perform December 18-20, 2026 at the Newport Performing Arts Center. AUDITIONS Monday, September 14 @ 6pm* Newport Performing Arts Center * Those who have “Chicago” rehearsal at 6pm can audition early - at 5pm If you are interested in auditioning but cannot make the date, please email redoctopustheatre@gmail.com Seeking actors and vocalists ages 14+. There is no need to prepare a monologue - everyone will be asked to read from the available sides. Those who would like to be considered as a featured vocalist should come prepared to sing 30 seconds of one of the following songs: Defying Gravity, Seasons of Love, Man of La Mancha, The Ballad of Sweeney Todd, Let it Go, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Under the Sea. Pick whichever one you like best and/or that best showcases your voice. You may sing a capella, but are free to bring your own accompaniment if you prefer. Please arrive on time and let the attendant know if you need to leave early.
