Will articles still be free to read?
Yes. Standard articles remain free for everyone. Membership adds ad-free reading while you are signed in.
Who can read and post comments?
Active Basic and Premium members can read discussions. Premium Monthly and Premium Annual members can also post and reply. Discussions are not visible to signed-out readers or unpaid accounts. New comments are reviewed before they appear. The new discussion section starts fresh; older comments remain stored separately.
What is in the monthly insider email?
The Oregon Backroads Club insider edition is a monthly note for Premium members: an editor’s perspective, behind-the-scenes updates, selected Oregon stories, and member news. You can change your insider email preference from your account.
How do member discounts work?
Premium members receive access to exclusive member-only coupons and discounts when announced. Sign into your connected shop account to use them. Each offer has its own dates and conditions; membership does not promise a standing percentage discount.
Do Premium Monthly members receive a gift card and calendar?
No. Premium Monthly includes digital benefits. The $25 shop gift card and calendar are exclusive to Premium Annual and are earned only after a successful annual payment.
How do I receive my shop gift card?
After a successful Premium Annual payment, connect your shop account from your member dashboard. Your $25 gift card appears securely in that shop account. Each successful paid annual renewal earns another $25 card.
When will my calendar arrive?
New Premium Annual members at launch receive the 2027 preorder, queued with the shop for fulfillment when ready. Each paid annual year includes one calendar: the current edition when available, or the next edition when it is released. Contiguous U.S. calendar shipping is included.
How does renewal work?
Basic renews at $6 per month or $60 per year. Premium renews at $12 per month or $120 per year. Annual prices shown per month are equivalents; the full annual amount is charged each year. Cancel future renewal through your account before the renewal date. Your paid reading access continues through the end of the paid term.
What happens if my annual renewal payment fails?
Annual members have a 14-day recovery period after the paid term ends to update payment details and keep reading ad-free. The next annual gift card and calendar are earned after the renewal payment succeeds.
Prices are in U.S. dollars. Membership renews automatically until canceled. Shop purchases have their own shipping charges and offer terms. Included calendar shipping applies to Premium Annual within the contiguous U.S.
