Event Highlights
Over two days, the festival features spectacular kite demonstrations by professional fliers, kite-making workshops, and the chance to see some of the most dazzling and creative kites in action. From giant show kites in all shapes and sizes to the skillful maneuvers of expert kite fliers, you won’t want to miss a moment of this sky-high celebration.
Saturday & Sunday Schedule
- 10:00 am: Festival opening performance and announcements.
- 10:00 am - 2:00 pm: FREE Kite Making Workshop. Donations to benefit Family Promise of Lincoln County.
- 10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Performances by Featured Fliers.
- 11:00 am - 11:20 am (Sunday): Kite Flier Memorial.
- 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm (Sunday): Mega Fly – Watch in awe as all the fliers take to the field at once!
- 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm (Sunday): More Featured Fliers Performances.
- 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Tour of the Big Kite Field – Learn all about the impressive show kites that dominate the festival sky.
- 4:00 pm: Festival Closes.

Parking and Shuttle Information
Parking is available at the Lincoln City Community Center and the top level of the Lincoln City Outlets parking structure. Free shuttles will be running continuously from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, making it easy to get to and from the event. Download the Parking Guide for more details.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes! Leashed dogs are welcome on the beach. Just be sure to clean up after your furry friend.
Can I fly my own kite?
While the main performances are handled by professional kite fliers, you’re more than welcome to fly your own kite outside the festival area along the beach.
Will there be food?
Yes! Kristi's Food Truck will be serving up delicious fare, including hot dogs, burgers, and Indian tacos, so come hungry!
Can I buy festival merchandise?
Yes! Scout Northwest Trading Company will be selling official Kite Festival t-shirts and other festival gear, so you can take home a souvenir of your day.
