If you are looking for something fun to do this year, mark your calendars now as you don’t want to miss this event in Coos Bay! These famous “Tall Ships” will be docking at the Oregon Coast in May, and will be offering Vessel tours at the dock, Adventure, and Battle Sails.

Battle Sails is an opportunity for families to enjoy a unique historical experience, of tall ships sailing, complete with plenty of rope handling, shanty singing and perhaps even some cannon fire! The ships will be open to the public for a suggested donation of $5 per person.

The official tall ship of Washington, known as Lady Washington got her fame from “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” as well as “Star Trek: Generations,” and also a TV show on ABC known as “Once Upon A Time.” The Lady Washington will be accompanied by the Hawaiian Chieftain.

For details of the public opening hours and the battle sail schedule please refer to the official website as both are ticketed events that may require booking in advance.

Please note all dates may be subject to change and that in certain cases not all vessels may be visiting for the full date range given. Make sure to check official channels for updates and further details.
