It’s not often we hear about Tornados in Oregon, but once in a great while, we do have them. The Oregonian/OregonLive is reporting a Tornado touched down Tuesday afternoon around 1:30pm near Lebanon, via fire department officials in the area.

Two barns have been leveled at Spencer’s Dairy Farm near Green Mountain Drive in  Lacomb, Lebanon Fire Department officials said.  Two other barns were also reported to have been damaged.

Lebanon is in Linn County, about 35 miles southeast of Salem. The storm’s path of damage went for about three-quarters of a mile, taking down tree branches and power lines. At this time, no homes have been reported to be damaged and there are no injuries.

A A National Weather Service survey team is expected to inspect for damage Tuesday night, according to meteorologist David Elson. Based on the damage done, the team is to confirm whether a tornado occured, Elson said.

There was in fact a tornado warning issued Monday for the northwest Oregon and southwest Washington coasts after waterspouts were seen Monday afternoon.
