Do not count on an economy-lot shuttle
The economy lot is about a 10–15 minute walk to the terminal via the sidewalk and crosswalk. Build that walk into an early-morning departure plan.
Pickups are easier with a plan
There is a free cell-phone waiting lot, plus a 30-minute grace period in airport lots. The curb is for active loading and unloading, not waiting.
Flying in without a rental car?
Rideshare, taxis, hotel shuttles, and scheduled bus options are available, but this is not a walkable airport-to-downtown arrival. Confirm your option and timing before landing—especially for a late arrival or early departure.

EUG has food and coffee options, but it is a smaller airport, not a destination dining terminal. If you have a very early flight, a tight connection, or a particular meal in mind, confirm what is open before you arrive. EUG or PDX?
For an itinerary centered on Eugene or the southern Willamette Valley, EUG can save you a long drive at each end of the trip. PDX usually has a broader choice of flights and may suit Portland, the Columbia Gorge, Mount Hood, or the North Coast better.
