If you grew up yelling “Goonies never say die!” or dreaming of treasure maps hidden in old attics, this one’s for you. LEGO has officially unveiled LEGO Ideas The Goonies (Set #21363), a massive, nostalgia-packed tribute to the 1985 cult classic filmed right here in Astoria, Oregon.

And trust us, it’s no ordinary brick build. This thing’s got more Easter eggs than a One-Eyed Willy treasure room.

A Pirate-Sized LEGO Adventure

The 2,912-piece set recreates some of the most iconic scenes from The Goonies: the eerie Fratelli hideout, the underground caves, and of course, the pirate ship Inferno that started it all. One side of the display features the Inferno in full sail; the other side opens into detailed play scenes complete with trapdoors, tunnels, and the Skeleton Organ (just don’t hit the wrong key, or your minifigure might fall through the floor).

And yes, One-Eyed Willy himself makes an appearance.

The Ultimate Goonie Line-Up

The set comes with 12 minifigures, each ready for adventure:

Mikey Walsh • Mouth Devereaux • Data Wang • Chunk Cohen • Andy Carmichael • Stef Steinbrenner • Brand Walsh • Sloth • Mama Fratelli • Francis Fratelli • Jake Fratelli • One-Eyed Willy

New LEGO elements were designed just for this release, like Sloth’s pirate hat and bandana, and Mama Fratelli’s hair and beret combo. Every character looks straight out of the film, down to Data’s gadgets and Chunk’s Hawaiian shirt.

Hidden Treasures & Easter Eggs

Like any good Goonies adventure, the fun is in the details. You can trigger booby traps with the Copper Bones Skeleton Key, open treasure chests, drop boulders, and explore secret passages. There’s even a nod to the “octopus scene” cut from the original film (Goonies fans know).

You’ll also find movie references scattered throughout, like the “truffle shuffle” poster, the map that started it all, and plenty of clever callbacks for fans to discover.

Designed by a Fan, For Fans

This set came to life through the LEGO Ideas program, where fans submit their own builds for potential production. The creator, Greek 3D artist Vaggelis Ntezes (aka Delusion Brick), earned over 10,000 votes from LEGO Ideas users for his epic Goonies design, leading to an official release.

It’s a fitting story: a fan with a dream, turning imagination into treasure, just like the kids from Astoria. This isn’t just a LEGO set. It’s a full-blown love letter to 80s adventure, friendship, and Oregon’s most legendary film.
