Sip Champagne and Dessert Bar is owned by Sierra Andrews and Ashley Buonarroti who’ve combined their love of dessert and sparkling wine to give Eugene its only champagne bar, and you’ve got to check it out. Opened since 2021, Sip has a cute and cozy atmosphere with friendly and relaxing service, vintage-y vibe with eclectic decor and a retro black and white checkered floor. It’s also a very chill environment at night, and you’ll often find U of O students studying while enjoying a slice of cake or a cappuccino. And, though the name may lead you to believe they only serve champagne and dessert, once you see the menu you’ll be impressed by the wide selection of cocktails, mocktails, and food.
For drinks, try one of their creative cocktails like the “Lavender Lemon Drop” with vodka, orange liqueur, lavender, shaken and then topped with brut and a sugar rim, or the “Double Bubble Trouble” made with vanilla vodka, 1883 Maison Routin bubble gum syrup, lemon juice, Prosecco Rosé and garnished with a bubble gum skewer. Of course, they have a well-curated sparkling wine menu, and if you’re a novice at the art of choosing and drinking champagne, the helpful and informative staff will steer you in the right direction.
If you’re just stopping in for dessert, customers rave about the salty chocolate cookies, creme brûlée, lemon bars, and pavlovas. Pair your sweet treat with a glass of bubbly or an espresso drink like a white chocolate mocha and you’ve set yourself up for a perfect day!
While Sip is known for its sparkling wine and desserts, they also have a phenomenal brunch menu. Almost all the food is made fresh and in house, and they’re always updating the menu with seasonal specials. One of their most sought-after menu items is their spectacular avocado toast made on house-made garlic cheddar bread. You can try the “Yassss Avocado Toast” made with avocado, goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, basil, paprika, Himalayan pink salt, and a balsamic reduction, or the popular and colorfully named “Bad Bitch Avo“ with avocado, bacon, one egg, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese.
You also can't go wrong with a breakfast sandwich made on a buttery croissant with basil aioli, two eggs cooked to order, bacon, sausage or avocado, havarti and mixed greens tossed in a house-made garlic vinaigrette. Other favorite options are the “DIY French Toast” that you can customize any way you like with toppings like berries, chocolate sauce, jam, sprinkles, or nutella drizzle, or the fresh “Berry Basil Salad” made with fresh berries, basil, feta cheese and field greens tossed in olive oil with a balsamic drizzle. The menu features both gluten-free and dairy-free options, so there’s always something for everyone.
