Exploring The Pillars of Rome in Oregon Will Take Your Breath Away

In southeast Oregon’s sparsely-populated high desert area there stands The Pillars of Rome, a five-mile long, two-mile wide, 100-foot tall rock formation that looks astoundingly like ancient Roman ruins.

Rafting In Rome

The nearby Owyhee River is a wonderful place to go rafting in eastern Oregon. The Owyhee River takes rafters and kayakers down a both exhilarating and relaxing trek along beautiful blue waters and towering canyon walls. The local plants and animals are exciting to see, as well!
