There are few activities as wholesome and fun as putt-putt golf. Whether you’re out with the kids, on a date, or hanging out with friends, a good game of miniature golf is sure to please everyone in your party and one great place to enjoy this is the Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park in Eugene.
This nature-themed miniature golf course is maintained and run by Willamalane Park and Recreation District and sits on two beautiful acres of green space located just west of Springfield so it’s convenient no matter where you live. The lush, green landscape has two 18-hole courses with tons of water features and obstacles you’ll have to put around, and they all blend in with the natural landscape around them. The holes are moderately challenging, but overall both courses are fairly easy which makes it great for kids.
Camp Putt is only open on the weekends including Friday afternoon so it can get busy, but with two full courses, groups move through fairly quickly although you may have to wait a bit for your next hole. They will close if it’s been extra rainy, too hot, or if the air quality index goes over 150, so check out their facebook page for updates or call directly if you’re unsure.
The prices here are also incredibly reasonable, just $6 for kids up to 11 and $7 for adults, so it’s a budget-friendly activity for families to do on the weekend or during the summer. You can also rent out the “Party Place” for birthdays, family celebrations, or even as a team-building activity with coworkers! This includes admission for 12 people and two hour access to a covered pavilion with four picnic tables for $125 if you live in-district or $150 for out of district. Plus, if you’re an all-access member with Willamalane Parks and Rec or if you’ve purchased the 1Pass summer access card for your kids, you get one free round per member every day!
There’s a concession stand where you can buy ice cream bars and popsicles in the summer, but it's right next door to Roaring Rapids Pizza Co., so you can make a whole day out of it by grabbing lunch or dinner afterwards.
Camp Putt also does fun stuff throughout the year like their Halloween themed “Ghostly Lane” where they open at night and everything is lit up with glowing lights. They also put on fundraisers like Putt for the Pantry where you can get in by donating three cans of food, and run specials like letting moms put free on mothers day when they bring their kids. One minor heads up is that the only bathrooms they have are porta-potties so if this is an issue for you, make sure you go beforehand!
