Bend, Ore. — The wait is over for burger fans in Central Oregon. According to a report from KTVZ, Killer Burger has officially opened its doors in Bend, marking the chain’s latest expansion across the state.
The Portland-born burger chain, Killer Burger, has been steadily spreading across Oregon with locations in Eugene, Medford, and Salem. Now, Bend finally gets its own spot — right next to the new Costco off U.S. Highway 20. It’s one of the first businesses to move into the brand-new shopping area, and it’s already generating buzz.
What sets Killer Burger apart is its fearless approach to gourmet burgers. They take pride in precision-crafted recipes and wild flavor pairings that push the limits of what a burger can be. Their most talked-about creation? The Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon Burger.
I’ll be honest — when I first heard about it, I thought, “Peanut butter on a burger? No way.” It sounded like a combo that just shouldn’t work. But after finally giving it a try, I was pleasantly surprised. Somehow the salty, sweet, tangy, and smoky flavors balance out perfectly, making it one of the most unique burgers I’ve ever had. I get why it’s become iconic for the brand.
“It’s a burger that most people haven’t ever heard of before,” Logan Miller, the new Bend location’s general manager, told KTVZ. “A lot of people think it’s a very weird combination, but it definitely works. We think you should try it when you come by.”

If peanut butter on a burger isn’t your thing, the menu still has plenty of adventurous options, like a Swiss fondue burger with blue cheese crumbles and bacon, or one loaded with roasted green chiles and Monterey Jack cheese. Of course, you can always play it safe with a classic burger, chicken strips, or a pile of their well-seasoned fries.
“I think we’re going to fit in really well,” Miller added. “I know that Bend loves their fast casual restaurants, so I think we’re going to do great here.”
The new Bend location also brings new jobs to the area, with Killer Burger currently hiring.
