Lincoln City’s beloved Finders Keepers glass float tradition continues in 2025, offering a year-round treasure hunt along seven miles of stunning Oregon coastline. February promises exciting opportunities for glass float enthusiasts, with two special events showcasing themed floats for collectors to find and keep.

The Float Fairies work year-round, hiding nearly 3,000 handblown glass floats between Roads End and Siletz Bay. These floats, crafted by local artisans, are unique works of art and a delightful reward for lucky beachcombers. While floats are hidden daily, Special Drops throughout the year add hundreds of extra treasures during holidays and special occasions.

Here’s the schedule of Special Drops for 2025:

  • February 8–17, 2025: Retro Expo (formerly Antique Week) – 100 Japanese antique-style floats
  • February 14–16, 2025: Valentine’s Day – 50 red, pink, and white floats
  • March 22–April 19, 2025: Spring Break – 200 floats
  • April 19–22, 2025: Earth Day – 50 Earth Day-themed floats
  • May 9–11, 2025: Mother’s Day – 50 floats
  • June 13–15, 2025: Father’s Day – 50 floats
  • June 20–21, 2025: Casino Anniversary – 30 floats
  • June 21–22, 2025: Summer Kite Festival – 10 floats
  • August 30–September 1, 2025: Ocean Conservation Weekend – 40 floats
  • September (TBD): Celebration of Honor – 50 red, white, and blue floats
  • September 20–21, 2025: Fall Kite Festival – 10 floats
  • October 11–14, 2025: Indigenous People’s Day – 50 floats
  • October 31–November 2, 2025: Halloween – 50 themed floats
  • November 14–16, 2025: Restoration Pow-Wow – 50 floats
  • December 12–14, 2025: Holiday Drop – 50 floats

These events offer something for everyone, whether you're drawn to the antique-inspired floats of February’s Retro Expo or the whimsical red, pink, and white designs of the Valentine’s Day drop. With 200 floats planned for Spring Break and additional themed events throughout the year, there’s never a dull moment in this coastal treasure hunt.

For those unable to search the beaches, Lincoln City provides additional ways to participate. Monthly drawings are available for individuals with disabilities through the Lincoln City Welcome Center, ensuring everyone has a chance to bring home one of these treasured floats.
