USA Today is inviting its readers to participate in selecting the top pet-friendly hotel, and two Oregon establishments have made the list.

Nestled in Pacific City, Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa, and The Hotel Zags in Portland are among the 20 contenders chosen by a group of specialists for the publication’s Readers’ Choice awards. Enthusiasts can cast their vote for the premier pet-friendly lodging daily until the voting concludes on Monday, June 24 at 9 a.m. PDT.

Headlands is favored by USA Today for providing amenities like a dog bed and bowls for food and water. Meanwhile, The Hotel Zags is noted for its extensive range of pet-oriented services.

Also in the running from the West Coast, primarily from California, are the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma, Kimpton Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara, Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa in Oceanside, and The Steward in Santa Barbara.

Beyond hotels, USA Today is also conducting votes for the best dog-friendly beach and the best dog park, encouraging pet lovers to vote in these categories as well.
