JOHN DAY – After weeks of worry and searching, missing John Day resident Hannah Pereira has been located in Multnomah County, according to a statement from Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley. Sheriff McKinley informed our team on October 26th that Pereira was found and is currently in custody due to outstanding warrants.
In our initial report on October 17, we shared the growing fears of Hannah’s family, especially her sister, Brooklynne, who worried that Hannah may have been in danger. At the time, Sheriff McKinley confirmed that while Hannah was considered missing, she could not be added to the national missing persons database because of multiple active warrants.
Brooklynne Pereira had emphasized her deep concern that something might have happened to her sister, noting the unusual silence from Hannah, who hadn't contacted anyone she would typically reach out to.
Background: Hannah Pereira has three active cases with outstanding warrants in Grant County, two of which involve C Felony charges. She missed a court appearance on September 16th, meaning any law enforcement contact could result in her return to Grant County.
Hannah’s family has maintained hope throughout this difficult period and simply wishes for her safety and well-being. We hope this update brings some peace to her loved ones who have been anxiously waiting for news.
For anyone experiencing similar situations, support from family and friends is invaluable. Sharing information, as many have done for Hannah, can make a real difference.
