We have some exciting news for all of you who have been patiently waiting for Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs to make a comeback! This iconic Oregon vacation spot first opened its doors in 1962, but closed in 2018 due to financial constraints. After being closed all these years, the resort is finally ready to reopen in July.
The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, who own and run the place, had aimed for a 2023 reopening after pouring $4.5 million into renovations. Unfortunately, extreme weather in May 2023 threw a wrench in those plans, causing significant damage.
The wait is almost over! Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs announced on June 19 that they’re back and better than ever. They’ve got some amazing new features, like natural hot springs pools with temperatures ranging from 92 to 104 degrees, a lazy river, a kid-friendly wading pool, and plenty of poolside lounging with private cabanas. Sounds like paradise, right?
With an incredible 300 days of sunshine, this spot is perfect for kicking back and recharging. While the exact grand opening date is still under wraps, it’s happening in mid-July. So, mark your calendars and stay tuned for more updates. The revamped Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs promises to be an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out!
