Lane County officials have issued a Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation order for residents along Roberts Ranch Road and Dunning Road near Highway 58, just east of Oakridge. The alert went out on Wednesday, August 7, after a wildfire moved dangerously close to homes in the area.

A Level 3 order means there is immediate, life-threatening danger. If you’re in the evacuation zone, you should leave right now—do not stop to gather belongings or make last-minute preparations.

The Oregon Department of Transportation has shut down Highway 58 at milepost 37 due to the fire. Drivers are urged to take alternate routes or delay travel until conditions improve.

Oakridge officials are asking everyone in the area to stay alert and keep a close watch on updates from local media, emergency alerts, and official channels. Evacuation changes, shelter information, and other resources will be shared as soon as they are available.

This is a developing situation—That Oregon Life will post updates as soon as new information comes in.
