Today marks March 10, 2025, the tenth day of the search for missing 2-year-old Dane Paulsen. The effort to locate him continues in Siletz, Oregon, with his family, volunteers, and law enforcement remaining dedicated to bringing him home safely. Dane was last seen near his home along the Siletz River Highway on March 1, 2025, at approximately 4:25 p.m. Since then, extensive search efforts have been underway, covering land, water, and surrounding areas.
A reward is being offered for the safe return of Dane. His family is pleading for any information that could help locate him. Dane is described as having brown hair, green eyes, standing approximately 2'6" tall, and weighing about 50 lbs. Dane was last seen wearing navy blue high-top shoes with two velcro straps and white soles, brand new white Fruit of the Loom socks, a dark gray fleece zip-up hoodie with teddy bear ears, and black sweatpants with two buttons on the waist.

The search headquarters, initially based at the Elks Lodge, has been relocated to the Ojalla Drift Boat Launch due to unforeseen circumstances. Volunteers continue to gather and coordinate efforts at this new location. The family has expressed immense gratitude for the overwhelming community support, emphasizing the importance of continued vigilance.
Authorities and volunteers are now expanding their search southward downriver toward the coast. The family is urging anyone with dash cams, trail cameras, or security footage from the Siletz River Road and Strom Out Launch Park area to review their recordings for any possible sightings or unusual activity. A white van has been mentioned in connection with the investigation, and any footage that may provide clues is highly valuable.
The search remains ongoing, with teams working tirelessly to follow all leads. The family is also considering the possibility that someone may have taken Dane, and they are asking the public to remain alert to any unusual activity or information that could aid the investigation.
Dane’s mother has posted an emotional update on Facebook, expressing deep appreciation for the continued efforts of the search teams, volunteers, and law enforcement. In a separate post, she wrote, 'The support we have received from our community and our local law enforcement and all volunteers is incredible and we are so blessed to have you helping us find our baby. There’s no words to put in a place of how thankful I am for you all and your continuous support!' She emphasized the family’s determination not to give up and their unwavering hope of bringing Dane home safely.
