That $75 coupon for Costco being shared on Facebook is a total scam

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

To no surprise at all, that Costco coupon for $75 your mom probably shared on Facebook is totally not legit.

Costco posted a message to their Facebook page Tuesday urging customers to stop sharing the fake coupon saying, “Costco is NOT giving away $75 coupons.” The company urged fans and members of the chain of membership-only warehouse clubs that “this offer is a SCAM, and in no way affiliated with Costco.”

The image below is a version of the Costco coupon the company is warning customers about.

Costco has said this is not the first time they’ve heard of a hoax like this, as it’s been a recurring problem for the retailer, and were not aware of it until customers warned them it was circulating again on social media. The scam works by promising a voucher will be sent to them if they share the image of a fake Costco coupon said to be worth $75.
