Did you know the ski was invented before the wheel? Neither did I until I came across this post. A book from author Roland Huntford, “Two Planks and a Passion: A Dramatic History of Skiing” suggest humans even used skis during the last ice age in the Paleolithic Period, which were shown in cave drawings.
This video known as Afterglow, is being hailed as one of the most cinematically profound ski movies ever made. Afterglow was all filmed at night in Alaska with massive lights, and these two dudes sporting the sickest custom made LED suits ever. I’ve never seen anything quite like this, and I was definitely taken away by it. While I haven’t hit the slopes for years, this definitely made me want to get out there!
