World’s best beard goes to this Portland man — with a medal to prove it

With a staggering 300 people competing for the annual World Beard and Mustache Championships in Portland this year, there can only be one man who walks away with the medal.

A local, Madison Rowley, walked away with that medal taking first place in the Garibaldi category, also winning the well deserved top prize overall.

Rowley has reached legendary status with his awesome beard, and has documented his beard on Instagram. Not only known for his impressive beard, Rowley is also a cinematographer, actor, and director.
