This Magical Christmas Lights Display is a Must-Do For Every Oregonian

Friends of Shore Acres / Facebook

One of Oregon’s most anticipated lights display is on the Oregon Coast. Every year, Shore Acres State Park hosts their amazing annual Holiday Lights festival, and you don’t want to miss this one. A community tradition was born in 1987 when the Friends of Shore Acres decided to “string a few lights” to help celebrate the holidays. That first season, 6,000 miniature lights, one Christmas tree, and the decorated Garden House drew 9,000 visitors.

They have come along way since 1987. With 325,000 led lights on display, this beautiful botanical garden will dazzle you with coastal-themed lighted sculptures and Christmas cheer.

Bring your family and enjoy the beautiful display of illuminated sea animals, birds, flowers, ships and more. Guests will also get to enjoy live music playing at the park.

The event runs from 4pm to 9:30 pm nightly starting on Thanksgiving and goes through New Years Eve. Please note there is a $5 parking fee. The Open Garden house will also have hot cider, punch, coffee, and cookies. If you’re in northern Oregon and looking for a lighted event like this, check out Christmas in the Garden.
